All about Clockhouse

Every practice has a story. This is ours. Clockhouse Podiatry has been part of Horsham for over twenty years, helping thousands of people stay comfortable, active and generally persuading their feet to behave themselves. Along the way the practice has grown, moved home, welcomed an incredible team and become part of the Total Therapy Studios family, but the things that matter most haven't changed - looking after people properly, treating everyone with kindness, and making sure excellent healthcare never feels intimidating.

So, if you've ever wondered where Clockhouse came from, what makes us a little different, or why there occasionally seems to be laughter coming from reception (don't worry, it's usually a good sign), you're in the right place. Pop the kettle on, have a little scroll, and get to know us a bit better.

OUR APPROACH

How we like to do things

Normally you'd read an 'all about us' page and it'll start off telling you dates and facts and history and things like that. Now you can read about that at the bottom of the page, as we're proud of Clockhouse Podiatry's 20 year heritage. However, we think it's important to share first of all some more information about us. And how we do things in our wee little practice.

More than just Podiatry
Clockhouse Podiatry exists because we think healthcare can be done differently. Of course we're here to provide excellent clinical care - that's a given - but we also want people to walk through the door, take a breath, and think, "Oh... this doesn't feel like I expected. My goodness what a lovely place."

We're fortunate to have a brilliant team, modern technology and a practice that never stands still. But the thing we're proudest of isn't a building or a particular piece of equipment - it's the comments we hear from patients who tell us they actually enjoyed coming to see the Podiatrist. We know... strange concept. We'll happily take that as a compliment.

Our Ethos in practice.
We're serious about Podiatry. I mean, PROPER serious. The team work to the highest level across all areas of standards and governance and what they don't know about feet isn't worth knowing. However we don't think you need hushed voices and stuffy formalities to prove it. We've created somewhere that's bright, friendly and genuinely welcoming, where professionalism and personality get on rather well together. There'll be music playing, you'll almost certainly hear people chatting, and we're proud of of how often the practice is full of the sound of laughter.

That culture comes from the family we've built through Total Therapy Studios over the last fifteen years, and it's now part of everything we do at Clockhouse too. We believe kindness, reassurance and taking the time to explain things properly are just as important as the treatment itself, because people remember how they felt long after they've forgotten which toe it was that hurt. And yes, if you happen to walk in and find Dom and Michelle dancing behind reception... that's probably not a medical procedure. It's just Tuesday.

The history of Clockhouse Podiatry
Clockhouse Podiatry has been caring for the people of Horsham for over twenty years. The practice was founded by Ann and Katherine after they left the podiatry department at Boots, bringing with them a shared vision of providing expert foot care with a genuinely personal touch.

Originally based a little further down Blackhorse Way, where the Willowhaven crystal shop is now, the practice quickly established an excellent reputation. As more and more people trusted Clockhouse with their foot care, the practice outgrew its original home and moved to its current premises, allowing it to expand its facilities, increase the number of treatment rooms and continue caring for a growing community of patients. Many of the people who first walked through the doors over twenty years ago are still visiting us today - something we're incredibly proud of.

The next chapter - 2023 onwards
Towards the end of 2023, with Ann retiring and Katherine relocating to the Midlands, the next chapter of Clockhouse began when the practice became part of the Total Therapy Studios family.

We knew from the very beginning that we weren't buying 'just another podiatry practice', as we'd worked closely with them for over ten years. We were becoming custodians of something that had spent two decades earning the trust of thousands of patients across Horsham, and preserving that reputation mattered enormously to us. Since then we've invested throughout the practice, introduced new technology and treatment options, expanded the clinical team, and continued to develop the service while staying true to the warmth and personal care that made Clockhouse so special in the first place.

Today, Clockhouse combines more than twenty years of local history with fresh ideas, ongoing investment and an incredible team of clinicians and reception staff. We're excited about where we're heading, but we'll never forget the foundations that Ann and Katherine built - we're simply privileged to be writing the next chapter.
