HCPC PODIATRIST
Simon Cahill
Simon’s journey into Podiatry was inspired by his service in the Royal Marines during the 1990s, where he witnessed the effects of intense physical training on the lower limbs and feet. This led him to qualify in Podiatry at the University of Brighton in 2003.
Starting his career in the NHS, Simon spent a decade specialising in nail surgery and podiatric biomechanics, focusing on complex cases. He later became a Senior Lecturer at the University of Brighton, shaping both undergraduate and postgraduate education. Simon earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Podiatric Surgical Theory in 2007 and completed an MSc in Principles of Podiatric Surgery in 2013. He has contributed to academic and professional development through management groups, external placements, and peer-reviewed publications. In 2023, he participated in the GELL-P project, advancing podiatric education. In short, there really isn't much he doesn't know!
He was the most recent member of the team to join us at Clockhouse Podiatry, starting with us in July 2024, and has been an absolute driver of the more advanced procedures that we offer such as nail surgery, SWIFT Microwave treatment, and advanced biomechanics.
With a fantastic and engaging patient manner, Simon always works to ensure that his patients are treated with the utmost care and respect. He always takes the time to explain reasons for any issues, and works alongside them providing as much information as he can to support their ongoing wellbeing.
His passion for sports, including trail running and obstacle courses, enhances his understanding of foot functionality. With over 24 years experience Simon is a huge addition to the practice, and truly has a wealth of knowledge of all things feet!
